My, how he's changed in just a short time!
This weekend Beryl and I were shopping in a second hand store, (LOVE THOSE!), and I came across a book called "Call me Grandma". It is full of the most beautiful little poems about being a grandma, and I had to have it! The sweet little old man just gave it to me after watching me read through it, and wiping tears from my eyes. The author was from Kansas, and is gone from this earth now, but I've no doubt she left her family knowing how much she loved them.
What a gift she had for words, and I will be sharing some of her writing with you from time to time. Her name was Nova Trimble Ashley, and I will be looking for more of her books! I hope her words touch your heart as much as they have touched mine.

Precious and sweet,
With soft dimpled fingers
And kissable feet,
Somebody beautiful
Helpless and wee
Made a most doting
Grandmother of me!
