Fun with tadpoles

It does me so much good to watch "my boys" (Beryl and James) discover new things together. Several days ago, G-pa brought home some tadpoles for James.
We put them in an aquarium, and fed them fish food, and watched as they turned into little frogs. We released the last one this morning......and then this afternoon G-pa brought more home. We now have 12 tadpoles, and 4 snails!! But the real fun is watching James become so interested in them. And today, he started SAYING "tadpole"!!!! I was going nuts, having him say it over and over again. I was so excited, I called Heather at work.........and then he wouldn't say it for love nor money!!!! He just wanted the phone. It is simply amazing how fast his vocabulary is growing, and each new word brings unexplainable joy to my heart. Between walking and talking I feel such a let-down when he leaves at night, and I can't wait for him to come back again the next day. Of course, I NEED the down time, I'm not as young as I used to be, and he can wear me down pretty quick! But to watch him as he explores and discovers the world around him is Heaven on earth. Every day is a new page in his book of life, and I am so blessed to be one of the authors. My Daddy used to tease me, saying I acted like I was the only woman in the world to become a grandma. But I am going to enjoy every blessed day, and strive to make sure that James does as well.
Well, kids, I need to go and get ready for another day of fun tomorrow. (That mostly means a bite to eat, a shower, and then off to bed!!) LOL. Thank you for being here, and I will meet you here again soon. God Bless You!!

I need air!!!

So, is anyone besides me about to swelter in this humidity? I feel like I need to grow fins just to walk through the house! When I get up to do the smallest task, I break a sweat, and the AC is running all the time. Along with 3 fans!! And it seems as though we are in for yet another round of weather.......YUK!!!

O.K., enough of my petty bitchin'.........On to the good stuff!!
My little love bug is walking!!!!! YEAH!!! He still is working on standing up in the middle of the floor, but if he's at the table or other furniture, he will stand up and walk. And he KNOWS he's doing something special,.....he'll try to look back at you to see if you're watching him, and usually that's when he falls down. But then he'll just CLAP and SMILE!!!! It makes my heart soar to watch him........I could do it all day. O.K., I admit,....I DO do it all day, which is why I never get anything else done!! LOL. But I'm having the time of my life, and I want him to remember that I took time for him, and that I enjoyed it. This little boy is going to know that his Gammo is in his corner, no matter what.
AND, I want to wish my precious daughter and son-in-law a very happy anniversary. Nine years ago today, my whole life changed forever. I became an instant grandma to 3 of the most beautiful kids in the world, and they all 3 stole my heart from the first smile. Sadly, we lost our Tracey almost 5 years ago in a car accident, and I miss that girl so much! How she would have loved and spoiled her new baby brother! I just know in my heart that she is caring for all the little babies in Heaven, and loving it.
